Jolie - #10-025
Female - 5 years
Jolie is an extremely affectionate 5-year-old girl who came to us from a local shelter. Unfortunately, by the time Jolie entered GRRNT foster care, she had become quite ill and required a month of special care and medicine. But we’re happy to report that today Jolie is completely recovered and has become a happy, healthy and very funny girl.
Jolie may be 5 years old, but she thinks she is a puppy. She doesn’t really know how to play with toys yet (except long socks that start a tug of war) but she does love to wrestle with her older foster sisters. Jolie has also become quite the talker and is very vocal during the day – her foster mom says she’s really an “interactive” dog. She must be a true girl at heart, as she’s good about taking a "shower" and loves to be blown dry and brushed.
She is housebroken and not destructive in the house, and she loves to go for walks. It’s obvious that she hasn’t had much training, however, as she is very challenging on the leash, so her forever family will need to work on this.
Because she is so affectionate, she is constantly at her foster mom’s or dad’s feet, depending on who is home. For this reason, we think it would be best if Jolie were in a home where she is the only dog, or in a home with younger, larger dogs. We know she’s good with older children, but she hasn’t been exposed to little ones yet. She is not interested in cats, so they are not an issue.
Jolie is a good-hearted girl who will provide years and years of entertainment and love for the forever family who will truly “be there” for her – she deserves nothing less.
