Sneaky - #09-167
Female - 4 years

Must be adopted with Slinky #10-016

Sneaky and Slinky are just the most delightful girls – and they come as a set!

These petite little ladies came from a backyard breeder, where it is suspected they suffered abuse as they both are very distrustful of humans and quite skittish. They were each initially fostered out separately, but Slinky was extremely distraught and increasingly depressed at being separated from her buddy, so it is imperative that they remain together. They are very sweet and gentle, and get along well with other dogs and children.

Sneaky is a dainty little lady about 4 years old. She is extremely quiet and still a little shy. She is also quite sensitive – very tender-hearted and nurturing. She lives up to her name, though, but in a good way! Although she is distrustful of adults (she loves children!), she is curious and will often sneak up on you and give you gentle little kisses. She’ll also sneak up on the sofa for a comfy nap when no one’s looking. But her favorite delight is sneaking through the trash looking for paper to nibble on and shred. Like Slinky, she spooks easily, and she is a wreck during thunderstorms. She also likes to sleep in small, confined “safe” areas, like in a small walk-in closet or tucked in by the toilet or in your arms. Sneaky is excellent on a leash, but doesn’t require long walks. The poor girl gets terribly car-sick and needs Dramamine any time she is going for a ride. She, too, has discovered that she loves affection, and will give plenty of sneaky kisses in return.

Slinky is such a cute little girl, with a white streak over one eye that looks like an eyebrow painted on. She is extremely shy and sensitive, and cowers at any sudden movements or noises. But she has discovered she loves affection, with belly rubs being a particular obsession! Sadly, despite being around 5 years old, she has never learned to play, so toys and balls are of no interest to her (although she does like stuffed animals to cuddle with). She’s not that keen on going for a walk, running into the bedroom to hide when you put the leash on. And once she’s outside, she darts about like she’s lost and in a panic, darting from door to door and car to car – during the last half of the walk she’s pulling on the leash like a horse headed for the barn. Slinky’s a light and messy eater (and Sneaky’s more than happy to vacuum up her leftovers). Slinky is heartworm positive, so she will not be available for adoption until early to mid-April. She also has allergies that predispose her to ear infections, so she will need to take over-the-counter antihistamines daily and needs weekly ear washes to keep infections at bay. Additionally, her right “elbow” doesn’t straighten completely, so she has a noticeable limp when she runs; she may need arthritis or pain meds at some point if it becomes a bother for her, but so far she’s fine. Aside from her ears (and maybe her joints), she is extremely low-maintenance, and very well-behaved. Love, affection and belly rubs are about all she desires!

These delightful little ladies will steal your heart, and will reward the lucky family that takes them in with mountains of love, affection and comical entertainment!
