Newman - #08-025
Male - 1 year
“Hi, my name is Newman! Don’t you just love my name?”
Newman is a handsome 1 year-old male with a gorgeous red-toned coat and
white/blonde flags and undercoat. His coat is beautifully soft and shiny, a far
cry from when he first came to us (he was picked up by Animal Control and never
claimed). He was terribly underweight (only 48 lbs) and his skin and coat were
flakey and dry. Now that his diet has improved, he’s gained weight and after
taking a shower with his foster dad, his skin and coat are perfect (not a flake
in sight).
His foster parents have taught Newman sit, lie down, and to not jump up on
people – he’s turned out to be quick learner and a really good boy. Newman just
loves to be outside – chasing squirrels, possums, birds or whatever – and he
knows how to use a doggie door. He’s totally housebroken and has never had an
accident in the house. He’s already neutered, up to date on his shots, and on
heartworm preventative, so he has no health issues whatsoever.
Newman hasn’t been around children or cats, but he seems very comfortable with
the little girls next door – no barking or anything… he just licks their
fingers through the fence.
Newman says with a big grin: “If you are looking for a handsome, playful, smart
& sweet young golden, I am your boy!”
