Christy is a wonderful, sweet tempered little girl who’s about 6 months old. She was raised as an outside dog, so living inside and getting lots of attention seems to be a new experience for her. She apparently was not a part of the family in her previous home, so we are eager to show her how much she is loved and how good life can be.

She has a very intelligent face, with little “worry wrinkles” over her eyes. She tries very hard to understand what you ask her to do – she looks like she’s saying “Just tell me what you want and I’ll do it!” all the time.

Christy has a lot to learn as it doesn't appear she had any training prior to coming into rescue. While she is already learning things like sit, down, and come, she will need continued training as she grows up. But she is a quick learner, and so soft tempered and eager to please, it won't be any trouble to train her.

She has been very good in the house and has not gotten into anything she shouldn't (except one pair of socks left on the living room floor.) She did want to see what was on the countertop, but stopped when she was told "off". Potty training is still a work in progress because she was living outside in the yard, but she has just about gotten that down as well. She is already ringing the bell on the door to ask to be let out.

Christy is wonderful with children. She attended the Garden Show and would sit and let the kids love on her and just cuddle up to them, very gentle and sweet. When you kneel down next to her she leans in to be loved on. She is gentle and calm in the house and wants to be in the room where you are. When invited over for some petting she soaks it in.

Christy LOVES LOVES LOVES to play with other dogs. She is a little bit of an energizer bunny with how much she wants to play with other dogs, so she will definitely need a dog as a playmate who has as much energy as she does.

Christy is a darling little dog who’s ready to become a full-time family member, hopefully in a family with another dog and/or kids. With the love and attention she deserves, Christy will move right into your house and your heart.
