The first thing you notice about Butler right away are his big smile and his big tongue!

Butler is a beautiful 3 year old male who was picked up by Animal Control and never reclaimed. He is timid at times and has obviously been mistreated in his past life, so it’s just as well that he found his way to GRRNT. Butler is a little on the small side, and definitely thin, but we’re working to get him back to a healthy weight.

He is good with other dogs, housebroken and very well behaved in the house. His only vice is jumping up and mouthing your hands or arms when he gets excited. We’re working on this and are confident Butler will quickly learn it’s not acceptable behavior, but he should probably not go to a family with small children.

Because of how he’s been treated in the past, Butler needs a gentle family who will be sensitive to his shy personality. With soft love and gentle nurturing, Butler will grow to trust his new forever family and know that he’ll never be hurt again. He’s waiting – won’t you give him that chance?
