Baileigh’s story starts out as a sad one which we see all too often. But her story is getting better every day.

When we first picked Baileigh up from the shelter, she was a pitiful mess – underweight, covered in fleas, and terribly dirty. Plus she was heartworm positive and had picked up a cough. She is about 5 years old.

The first thing she got was a much needed bath. Smart girl that she is, Baileigh has decided this is the good life and now loves being groomed.

Even better, the love, vet care, and good food are all making their mark on her. With proper medication and diet, plus hugs, tummy rubs and big doses of petting, she is recovering nicely. And she’s actually growing hair back on her little nose - she's so CUTE!

Baileigh has a lot to learn but she is learning fast. She tries to avoid the crate, but once we have her headed that way, she walks in, sits down and we give her a treat. So she’s easy to get along with – she just needs a loving family to show her what she is supposed to do.

Baileigh will be with us in rescue for quite awhile, but she is well on her way to a happier life. Check back to see how she’s doing… we’ll let you know as soon as she is ready to go.
