Abbey is a special girl and consequently she is looking for a special person. Abbey was born with facial myopathy, less than ideal hips and is hard of hearing. In spite of these challenges she is a happy, sweet dog and leads a normal life. Her facial myopathy has stabilized, she is on a low dose of prednisone and her hips do not seem to bother her, as she goes for 2 walks a day. She gets along wonderfully with the other Goldens in the household and would prefer the companionship of another dog in her forever home. She is good with cats and gentle with children. She is a special dog and is looking for someone who will love her in spite of her medical issues. She doesn't know there is anything different about her and is looking for someone who will see her as the perfect dog that she is.
