Costello - #07-058
Male - 8 years
Folks, we have a pair, and they are true comedians. Meet Abbott and Costello!
They are 8-year-old littermates, it is quite obvious they have never been
separated, and they shouldn’t be separated now. They’ve had a fine time making
new friends since they joined us, and they “talk” to humans as well as to each
other!
Foster Mom had to shave them because their coats were in horrible condition
when we first met them. She thinks they look adorable with their new summer
hair cuts. She also had to put different colored collars on them (yes, they
look that much alike, although Abbott is a bit shorter than his brother).
Abbott has the black collar and Costello’s is red.
Abbott is the more laid back of the two. He is a real love bug. He has a tennis
ball, or a toy of some kind, with him most of the time. He has had trouble with
ear infections in the past and we are working on making sure those are gone
forever. He just recently completed his heartworm treatment.
Costello is a hoot! He ALWAYS has a ball in is possession. If his brother
happens to take it from him, he will let Foster Mom know! (Tattletale!) Every
evening before they go to bed Costello washes Abbott’s face for him. Costello
watches television and he will stare at the TV screen for hours, depending on
what is showing. He particularly likes Animal Planet and Sponge Bob Square
Pants. He likes any commercial with dogs or cats and he will get very excited
and “talk” to them. If there are birds flying on TV, Costello will run to the
side and try to figure out where they went when they flew off. Although both
boys like to “talk,” Costello is the most vocal. He has also completed his
heartworm treatment.
Both of these wonderful guys have very laid back personalities. They get along
with their 4 foster siblings beautifully. Both are very kitty friendly. Abbott
just ignores the cat, whereas Costello wants to play with it. Costello just
wants to play, period! Neither of them counter-surfs. They both are housebroken
and have really good house manners. They do not get on the furniture and they
prefer to sleep in Foster Mom’s room on a big doggie bed, together. When
outside, they don’t wander too far from their human’s side. They both still
pull while on leash, but Mom is working on this.
Everyone who has met these funny guys just loves them! If you want to be
constantly entertained, these furry fellows will do that. They will also give
you unconditional love and companionship. Won’t you open your heart and your
home to Abbott and Costello?
